21st Century Learning Center Program

In 2004, Urban Solutions and DuSable High School formed a partnership to establish a 21st Century Learning Center Program on the school’s campus.  The primary focus of program is to increase the reading, writing, and math performance levels of DuSable students through academic and non-academic services.  This informal, youth-based program provides participants with an aggressive blue print for improving their current academic standing, and assistance in establishing  future secondary educational plans.  In 2005, with the onset of the Chicago  Public School’s Renaissance 2010 Program, The DuSable High School facility became a campus, housing three additional small schools.  Urban Solutions has expanded the 21st Century Learning Center Program to accommodate students from all four small schools.
